Life is a journey that must be explored. Don't be afraid to take the risks and live life -http://www.mensweekly.co.uk
Life is an Uncertain Venture.
There are no guarantees. It doesn’t matter how wealthy you are, how much materials you have around you, or how far along you are in your marriage or career. Life is dynamic and can change in an instant. Let the reader be assured that I do not share this to frighten you, or brood emotions of anxiety. Rather, I want the reader to understand the uncertainty of life itself — in order that they be more apt to grow in the ways that they’ve desired. To not look at the world so concretely, but to take a flexible approach.
What are your Passions?
When you look into yourself, what passions speak the strongest? What gift do you have that you would like to share with the world more than anything else? All of us have special abilities and ways of perceiving the world. Other people can grow and benefit through this sharing. If we’re not able to truly tap into our passions, then in some ways we’re doing our lives an injustice.
Sometimes the Greatest Fruit lies out on a Limb.
When we begin to discover our passions, we begin to better understand our true nature. Those things that speak from us freely, those things that lie within us that desire to grow onto their own. And to share these passions with the world, we have to take a risk. Sometimes risk-taking can be performing at a local open-mic night. One could be rejected — mocked or laughed at. But if one doesn’t allow their fears to incapacitate them — and desires to share their own personal fruits with the world — their returns could be immeasurable.
All great things in life involve Risk and Chance.
Find me one successful person who built their success without taking great risks and great chance. Find me one successful relationship in the world where risk and chance hasn’t been involved. When we pursue something, when we explore a new road, there can be bumps and failures. But if we are not fearless enough to confront the path, then we will never be entitled to the rewards at the end of it — or the change in ourselves through the process of obtaining it. Life involves risks and chance in everything. Sometimes we fail big. Other times we win big. And in our gambles, we too must be weighing the risks and be prepare to deal with them.
Failure is not an End Game.
Failing is only the end if we allow it to be. Wise and successful people fail continually. They fail on a daily basis. Men who are good at generating interest from women — fail continually. Successful people do not allow falling down to stop their journey. They do not allow a scraped knee or strained finger to dictate their accomplishment. Failure is a chance to learn. A chance to observe mistakes and blind spots — and correct. A chance to reorient ourselves towards the path that we’d truly like to be working for.
If the Good Things were Easy, Everyone would have them.
Good things take time and work and small steps. Finding our passions — delving into mystery to pursue them will involve struggle. It will involve at times potential suffering that must be worked through. Times where our returns seem distant. But if we keep working, if we keep pushing, nothing can withhold our success but our own admittance to failure. Good things take time. Good things hide behind brick walls. And we must be persistent enough, dedicated enough, committed enough towards the future and destiny we are creating — to not allow these blocks to withhold us. With determination of spirit comes creativity and new solutions. Nothing and nobody can truly prevent your success but yourself.
Life is a journey to be explored. Don’t be afraid to take risks and to Live Life. Love life. Because it is rare. It is temporary. Your time here is finite and each day brings you closer to the end. Why hold back on what you truly care about? What’s stopping you besides your own excuses? Take a journey into yourself, into the world on a path beaten by your own blazing — not the ruts worn by so many else.
Explore, live, learn from mistakes and pain — keep flowing towards what inside feels most natural and passionate. Be creative, share ideas with others. As the famous mythologist and academic Joseph Campbell said, “Follow your Bliss. In doing so, there are doors that will open for you that wouldn’t open for anyone else. The fountain of eternal happiness lies right beside you. Choose to see it. Choose to drink from its waters”
